3 arrested, charged in North Carolina robbery string

Most police officers in North Carolina are dedicated to protecting their community and holding accountable those people they believe committed a crime. However, this dedication must also be backed up by evidence to convict someone of a crime. Despite this, it is unclear what connects the three people arrested for their alleged involvement in a robbery string to the crimes.

The arrests came as a result of several robberies that allegedly happened in the days leading up to Christmas. Police say that three people recently arrested and charged were involved in three armed robberies. In one of those events, reports claim that a man pointed a gun at a clerk after he entered the store. He was allegedly given money after he demanded it.

Additionally, police say that a masked man attempted to enter a closed store the next day but was thwarted when the clerk locked the door. Police allegedly knew of a vehicle to look for, and officers claim they spotted it on Christmas Day. Three people were arrested and charged. An 18-year-old woman and a 38-year-old woman were charged with conspiracy to commit common law robbery, and a 20-year-old man was charged with felony common law robbery, conspiracy to commit common law robbery, attempt at common law robbery and assault on a female.

Despite the robbery allegations against the three people, many of the details regarding the North Carolina incidents remain unclear, including why police think the two women were involved. Unfortunately, the charges against the three people could have serious consequences if they are convicted. Without any legal training, they may feel unsure of their legal options, prompting them to seek guidance from an experienced criminal defense attorney.
